Column 3: Teen Knitter/Crocheter of the Month (Based on skill, blogging, and photography) – Do you know someone who is a fantastic knitter/crocheter? Nominate them to be the Teenknitter/crocheter of the month! Send in an interview with them no more than 600 words and no less than 400. Please include a picture of your friend, the items they have crocheted/knitted. You cannot nominate yourself!

Column nine: Hooks and Needles – This will be a column for fictional/non-fictionally entertaining stories about knitting and crocheting. The story must be atleast 500 words long, 750 words max. Stories may be spoofed off of classic tales (for example, a knitter (cinderella) can’t go to the knitting convention, and a magical knitting fairy god-mother appears, she grants cinderella a magical knitted summer dress, two fat size 8 needles, malabrigo yarn, and twinkle toes slippers. And so on the story goes.  Stories can include random-have-to-do-with-story pictures. Please do not include pictures that are copyrighted and/or pictures that do not belong to you.

Non Monthly Columns:


You can suggest non-monthly columns and do them yourself! Example: If you want to volunteer to do a tutorial on something involving knitting/crocheting – you can! OR – you can take what we have here!

Multiple amounts of people may take these jobs. Meaning, five or more people can do the same thing.

1. Knitting patterns: Max of 10 patterns publish a month.

2. Various Knitting/Crocheting opinion articles – This article will be about a knitter/crocheters opinions on knitting/crocheting patterns, crocheting/knitting, people crocheting/knitting, how crocheting/knitting makes you feel, and your opinions on knitting/crocheting.
